I’ve been involved in the Management Rights (MR) industry since 2003, when I purchased my first complex—a holiday complex—after selling my successful hairdressing salon in Brisbane. My journey into this field was influenced by my father, Rusty Lush, who, along with Mike Butler and Geoff Glanville, founded THE RAAS GROUP in 2002.
Since then, I've managed a variety of properties, including a permanent complex, a student complex, and even a motel for a year. In 2010, I joined RAAS in an administrative role with RAAS CARE, where I supported managers in selling units within their complexes and provided assistance with the various challenges of complex ownership. I drew on information from lawyers, accountants, Mike Butler, and my own experiences to offer valuable guidance.
In 2016, I transitioned into sales, which felt like a natural progression given my background. Over the years, I’ve witnessed significant changes in Management Rights, from the advent of user-friendly software to the flexibility of working “on” the business rather than “in” it. My firsthand knowledge of running a complex allows me to help buyers and sellers find the perfect fit for their lifestyles and personalities.
